Founded in 1989 as PT Mitrapusaka Artha Finance, a subsidiary of PT Astra International,The company originally engaged in a wide variety of financial services including consumer financing, leasing, and factoring. In 1991, FIF adopted its present name. Five years later, the company began to shift its focus from playing a supporting role for Astra dealerships across the country,to financing the purchase of Honda motorcycles directly to Honda customers.
Our services are continuing to evolve, too. In addition to its more traditional motorcycle financing operation, FIF now offers multi-product financing solutions for customers other items such as home appliances.
As a financing company, positive economic growth in 2009 has affected the growth of PT Federal International Finance (FIF), which until now remains to be the largest motorcycle financing company in Indonesia. In 2009, FIF has succeeded perform 44,1% of market share of the Honda motorcycle credit sales in Indonesia.
Positive economic growth during 2009 definitely contribute a positive impact for PT Federal International Finance (FIF) as a financing company. The company that till present is still one of the biggest motorcycles financing company in Indonesia, succeeded to perform a new Honda motorcycle financing in total of 805,321 units with market share of over 44.1% from Honda motorcycles credit sales in Indonesia.
In general, the Company’s financial performance recorded an impressive achievement. The Company’s receivables increased from Rp 14.5 trillion in 2008 to Rp 14.8 trillion in 2009, or increased by 2% with the total value of new financing reached to Rp 11.9 trillion.
The Company succeeded to improve receivables delinquency, stand-out from the declining number of delinquent accounts over 60 days from 0.94% in 2008 to only 0.77% in 2009. Net income had also increase significantly from Rp 612 billion in 2008 to Rp 812 billion in 2009, or increased by 32.7% which is the highest net profit since the history of the Company’s performance.
